Gentrey Thomas reflects on his record-breaking debut for the Bristol Flyers.
The Canadian guard racked up 35 points and 11 rebounds against the Surrey Scorchers - the most points ever by a Bristol Flyers player in a BBL game and the most points by any player on their BBL debut since 2009.
The team rallied back in the fourth quarter after trailing by as many as 17 points with just five minutes to play, with Thomas netting nine points in the last period alone.
"We came out sluggish in the first half, but it just goes to show what happens when you have a little bit of heart," he told Bristol Flyers TV.
"My teammates helped me get open and I just hit the shots - we got the team win and that's all that matters."
Flyers travel to Crystal Palace this weekend to take on the London City Royals before hosting Worcester Wolves on Saturday, October 5th.
