We’re playing with a chip on our shoulder - Delpeche

Marcus Delpeche is out to avenge Bristol Flyers’ pre-season defeat to Worcester Wolves at the SGS College Arena on Saturday night (7.30pm tip-off).

The Flyers fell by a single point in the final possession when the teams met three weeks ago, after trailing by as many as 20 points in the third period.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s clash in the Cup, Delpeche said: "We need to be able to put them away - we had multiple opportunities to do that when we played them in preseason.

"Anything can happen if we let it come down to the final possession, so the biggest thing for us is to keep on pushing if we build an early lead.

"Obviously we have a chip on our shoulder because they beat us in pre-season. Whether it counts towards the season or not, they still beat us, so we definitely want to make sure we handle business.

"Having the home crowd will definitely help us - It’s a big home game for us. We need to make sure we play our game, put on a show and make sure we come out with the result we want.”
