We’re improving every week - Kapoulas

Andreas Kapoulas hailed his side’s improvement after Bristol Flyers defeated the defending BBL Champions London Lions on Saturday night.
A team-high 20 point performance from Fred Thomas was enough to hold of a late surge from the visitors - one of five Flyers players to end the game in double digit scoring.

The win lifts Flyers to third place in the Southern Conference of the BBL Cup and Kapoulas believes the team are showing many positive signs and are learning from every game.

Reflecting on his team’s performance, the Flyers head coach said: "It was a crucial win - sometimes you have to scrap for things out there and we managed to find a way to win the ball game.

“There’s definitely positives out there, but the bottom line is that guys made big plays in important times of the game - which was huge for us.

"We don’t want too think too far ahead - we’re 3-2 in the Cup right now and we feel that we’re improving every week - that’s what matters the most.

"We want to be ready for that league season when it starts in December - but at the same time, if we can make a cup run, let’s do it.”

Just 60 standing tickets left for the clash with London City Royals on Friday, November 15th.
