Report: Solent Kestrels 103-67 Bristol Flyers

Bristol Flyers suffered a 103-67 first leg defeat to Solent Kestrels in the BBL Trophy semi-final.

Kestrels, who remain unbeaten in all competitions since February last year, were led by a game-high 29 point performance from Ian Smith, with Chris Scarlett hitting 18 points in 11 minutes off the bench.

BOX SCORE

Kestrels led 12-2 after three minutes and never looked back, with Smith hitting his first eight shots as they shot 61% from three-point range in the first half, leading 51-43.

But it was a dominant 30-14 fourth quarter that put them in a commanding position ahead of Sunday’s second leg, as Chris Scarlett opened the final period with four straight three-pointers.

The result means Flyers will have to overturn a 37 point deficit in Sunday's second leg at the SGS College Arena.
