There’s plenty of games ahead - Kapoulas

Andreas Kapoulas was left somewhat frustrated after his side fell to their first defeat of the season at home to London City Royals.

A game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds from Matthew Bryan-Amaning proved to be the difference for Junior Williams’ side, as London completed the dream start to life in the BBL.

After trailing by as many as 12 points, Flyers came out fighting in the fourth to narrow the gap to just three in the final minute of the game.

But Bryan-Amaning calmly sunk a pair of free throws to put the game out of reach, handing Bristol Flyers their first league defeat of the season.

"It’s not the way we wanted to start the season, but this is all part of the process,” Kapoulas told Bristol Flyers TV.

"We’ve got to put this result behind us. Credit to them, it’s a big win in their first game in the league and it’s great to have them join the BBL.
Jalan McCloud finished with a team-high 20 points in his BBL debut
"They have some really good players and they’re going to keep on getting better.

"For us, we need to get better on the defensive end and our offence will come through our defence.

"There’s another 32 fixtures to play so plenty of games ahead.”

Flyers return to BBL Championship action when Sheffield Sharks visit the WISE Campus on Saturday, September 29th.
