Tamas Okros Signs With Post University

Bristol Flyers and GB U20 Forward, Tamas Okros, has signed with NCAA Division Two school Post University on full athletic scholarship for 2015-16 season.

Tamas becomes the second player from SGS College to sign with the Post University Eagles, after former teammate Kyle Squire joined the squad at the beginning of last season.

“Playing alongside Kyle will make it a lot easier for me to fit into the new team. We played together for a year in Manchester before spending two years together in Bristol.”

Okros helped lead SGS College to the EABL Final for the second straight year with a record of 18 wins and 3 losses, whilst also contributing towards the Flyers’ first season in the BBL, with 35 appearances, averaging 11 minutes per game.

“Being able to play in the BBL has really helped me to develop my game, and I can’t thank Andreas Kapoulas and Guy Coles enough for giving me the opportunity”

The 6’7” Forward, originally from Hungary, moved to Bristol three seasons ago to play for the Flyers, whilst studying a BTEC Level three Extended Diploma in Sport.

Okros will join fellow Flyers teammates Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye and Deane Williams at the GB U20s training camp in Essex before competing in this summer’s U20 European Championships in Italy in July.
