Flyers Under-14s made the trip down to Winchester to take on the now fourth seeded Winchester City Royals.
The team selected for this match up was Hassan Ali, KJ Buckley, Alex Carey, Joe Matthews, Alex Millman, James Panso, Ewan Strover, Reece Strover, Louie Tucker, Louie West and Finley Woodward.
Flyers started strongly getting points on the board whilst holding the opposition to just 5 points in the first quarter. Flyers continued to apply pressure in the second quarter with the players coming off the bench building on the strong lead. The team was having to finish through a lot of contact but they kept their cool and finished the half in front 15 to 36.
The third quarter was slightly tougher for the Flyers due to some tough calls and a rallying home crowd. Thanks to a supportive bench and some great contested finishing from Alex Carey and good rebounding from Hassan Ali, Flyers were able to establish their dominant position.
The fourth quarter continued at the same pace with the game ending with a final score of 35 to 79 to Flyers. The Under-14s go again next week at home against Didcot.
Top scorers Ewan Strover 26, Alex Carey and Louie West with ten.
Top rebounders Finley Woodward and Alex Carey with six each.
