Flyers U14 II scored two big victories away from home this weekend against Wiltshire Demons and Cardiff Archers II.
Flyers took to the court first against Wiltshire with a starting line-up of Alex Carey, Alex Millman, Ewan Strover, Louie West and Finley Woodward.
Flyers got off to a promising start with a three-point lead at the end of the first quarter. The roster made some great plays in the second quarter putting up another 12 points to stretch the lead out.
An excellent third quarter with a very strong Flyers defence prevented Wiltshire from scoring. With consistent great teamwork and communication the fourth quarter ended with a comfortable victory, 46-16.
Top scorers were Ewan Strover with ten, Alex Carey and Nathan Symons grabbing eight points apiece.
With a convincing win under their belt the Flyers then faced Cardiff.
Flyers started with confidence and determination putting up an impressive 13 points in the first quarter.
Strong defence, excellent finishes and great play making from the team enabled the Flyers to keep the upper hand in the second quarter.
Both the third and fourth quarters were low scoring for the Flyers; however Cardiff were unable to make up the deficit, 48-26.
Top scorers were Alex Millman with 24, Finley Woodward sinking 11 and Ewan Strover 8.
Two superb wins for a very deserving team who hope to carry the momentum into the final two games of the year.
