Report: Plymouth Raiders 74-65 Bristol Flyers

Bristol Flyers fell short to Plymouth Raiders in a low-scoring contest at the Plymouth Pavilions.

Josh Wilcher led the way with 16 points, whilst Teddy Okereafor was one assist shy of a double double, with 13 points, nine rebounds, six rebounds and four steals.

Both teams traded baskets in the early exchanges, with nothing to separate the two teams, with the first period ending at 14 points apiece.

The Flyers lead grew to seven points midway through the second, as Eric Lockett forced his way to the hole for a soft lay-up.

Josh Wilcher hit a floating lay-up over his former side, before Eric Lockett punched home an athletic windmill slam, building a five point lead heading into the half.

Mike Morsell re-took the lead for Plymouth in the third, but further threes from Teddy Okereafor and Panos Mayindombe ensured Flyers maintained control heading into the last ten minutes.

Flyers headed into the fourth on top by four, before Ashley Hamilton hit a three-pointer as part of a 7-0 burst that put the Raiders 60-59 ahead.

Flyers were unable to connect on a single field goal in the last five minutes of regulation, with Plymouth going on a 12-2 run, highlighted by a Hamilton dunk and a pair of threes from Elvisi Dusha and Mike Morsell to close out the game.

The result marked a ninth straight league win for Plymouth, which also clinched a berth in the BBL play-offs.
