Report: Manchester Giants 82-80 Bristol Flyers (OT)

Bristol Flyers fell to their eighth straight league defeat, suffering an overtime loss to the Manchester Giants on Sunday night.

Sam Toluwase scored 12 of a game-high 28 points or the Giants in the first quarter to to give them a double-digit at the end of the first half, 33-22.

Bristol came out flying when play resumed for the second half and stormed into the lead at 35-48. Manchester restored their control with a late 8-0 run helping build a 59-49 advantage at the end of the third.

Flyers held their opponents scoreless for almost five minutes in the fourth as they closed the gap, but still trailed by five inside the final minute.

Hameed Ali came up with the crucial three pointer on the buzzer to tie the game at 72 points apiece heading into the extra period.

Giants were down four but swung the momentum back in their favour and four points from Moritz Lanegger proved to be enough in the closing stages for the win.

Ali dished out nine assists to go with 24 points but Bristol suffered their second loss of the weekend and now have just one win from their opening nine league games.
