Report: London Lions 64-76 Bristol Flyers

Bristol Flyers halted a run of seven straight defeats to claim their first win of the season away at London Lions.

It was a BBL debut to remember for new signing Tyrone Lee who claimed 15 points and 8 rebounds whilst Cardell McFarland again top-scored for Flyers with 25 points.

Captain Greg Streete, who earlier this week called for Flyers to finish teams off, led by example with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The game played out in a familiar pattern to Flyers previous games this season, Flyers starting sluggish, finishing the first quarter 20-13 down before a storming third quarter saw them bag 28 points to head into the fourth up 60-52.

Unlike previous games this season however, the Bristol side held their nerve to comfortably close out the game 76-64

The win means Flyers have now halted their worst ever start to a season, having not won a game of basketball since April. The result is all the more remarkable when considering Flyers history with Lions - this becoming their first win against Nigel Lloyd's side in five attempts.

Flyers return to action this Saturday as they take on 2014/15 BBL Champions Newcastle Eagles at the SGS WISE Arena - click here to buy tickets online.
