Report: Leicester Riders 79-65 Bristol Flyers

Bristol Flyers fell at the final hurdle as Leicester Riders came from behind to win 79-65 at the LCS Arena.

Rob Paternostro's side had lost their last two games in all competitions but put together a strong finish when it mattered to move to 10-1 in the BBL Championship.

The Riders were sluggish in the opening period with Bristol capitalising and forcing mistakes as they moved into a 9-20 advantage. The home side put aside their early shooting woes with a string of triples in the second to take the lead.

However, Bristol hit back and Hameed Ali - who finished with a game-high 23 points - scored his side's final seven points to edge them back infront going into half-time.

Ali continued to help grow the Flyers' advantage and helped his side take a nine-point lead into the final period. Still down nine at 52-61, Leicester went on a pivotal 23-2 run to turn the game on its head before completing the victory.

The Flyers' weekend doesn't get any easier as they return home to face the league leaders, Newcastle Eagles on Saturday night.
