The ladies got themselves back on track with a 10 point win against west country rivals Exeter Eagles yesterday at WISE.
A very competitive game saw both teams struggle to take any sort of lead until late in the final quarter.
Fortunately it was the Flyers who came out on top. They found themselves on the free-throw line 17 times in the last eight minutes and were able to capitalise from the charity stripe. Hannah Watkins scoring seven free-throws at the death to complete her season-high 16 points.
Coach Gareth Till commented “Exeter were certainly a team that we couldn’t underestimate, they've only played the top teams in the league and are in a false position in the table. With Reinhardt they have a very dangerous player, capable of scoring significant points.
"I was really pleased how young SGS student Chloe Hinett matched up against her, she can take a lot of positives from her performance. Coach was also full of praise for the rest of the squad.
“I’m in a fortunate position, we have a squad of players who are all competing for playing time. I can start with any player and I know we’ll perform. We have different players scoring every week which is making us a more difficult team to play against”
