Report: Bristol Flyers 86-73 Newcastle Eagles

Bristol Flyers wrapped up the 2020/21 regular season with a a home win against the Newcastle Eagles.

Five players finished on double figures for Coach Kapoulas side, who were led by 15 points  apiece from Marcus Delpeche and Eric Lockett.



After a low-scoring first half, both teams sprung into life in the third quarter in their final game before next week’s play-offs.

With both sides’ seeding confirmed for the Playoffs, the Flyers and the Eagles took the opportunity to rest some of their star players before May Madness begins next week.

For those on the floor, a tight first half was followed by a thrilling third quarter, with the game finely poised going into the final period at 60 points apiece.

In the final 10 minutes, the Flyers took the initiative and held the league’s second highest scorers to 13 points in fourth, as Flyers head into the postseason carrying some momentum after winning their last two on the bounce.
