Bristol Flyers look to make it a ‘Good Friday’ this weekend against Sheffield Sharks at the EIS Sheffield.

SHEFFIELD SHARKS
The Sheffield Sharks are one of the most successful teams in the history of British Basketball, dominating the domestic scene throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. The team have finished in the top two 11 times including four wins during their 20 years in the top flight, but have won the play-offs just once back in 2004. Sharks are currently seventh in the league with a record of 15 wins and 15 losses and will look to move above .500 for the first time this season since January 9th.
COACH
Atiba Lyons – Joining Sharks as a player in 2006, Lyons made the step up to coach in 2008. During his tenure, Lyons has won two BBL Cups, one BBL Trophy and led the team to two second-place finishes as well as runners-up in the 2011 play-offs.
STAR MAN
Mike Cook – The American rejoined the Sharks in January after playing one season with the team in 2009/10. The versatile guard was a revelation in his time with the Sharks, being named league MVP whilst averaging 25.9 points per game. Cook scored a season-high 28 points in Sharks’ last meeting with the Flyers.
LAST TIME OUT
Sharks ended the longest losing streak in the club’s history of six games, winning 70-79 in front of a sold-out crowd at the SGS WISE Arena.
