BBL Championship

Bristol Flyers look to capture their first away win of the season when they travel to Sheffield Sharks on Friday night (7:30pm).
Sharks are one of the most consistent teams in the BBL, having made the play-offs every season since becoming a BBL team, they went all the way to become play-off champions in the 2015-2016 season.
The Sheffield based squad have had an impressive start their 2017-2018 campaign, with three wins from their last four games including a 20 point blow-out at home against Leeds Force.
Atiba Lyons - Joining Sharks as a player in 2006, Lyons made the step up to head coach in 2008. During his tenure, Lyons has won two BBL cups, one BBL Trophy and one BBL Play-Off title as well as two second place finishes in the league.
Bristol Flyers strengthened their hold on a BBL play-off berth with a 82-69 victory at the WISE Arena, behind a 20-point performance from Aaron Cosby.
Despite enduring an injury ridden season, Sharks had to use as many as eighteen players throughout their campaign, Lyons guided the team to an impressive fourth place finish with a chance to make a long play-off run. Sharks’ hopes to repeat their 2016 play-off success were dashed by the fifth seeded Worcester Wolves in the quarter finals of the 2017 Play-Offs.
Sheffield Sharks had a strong off-season, signing two explosive guards in Chris Alexander and Dirk Williams; who enter the contest averaging 15.7 and 13.5 points per game respectively. The club have also retained their experienced captain, Mike Tuck. The Sheffield captain has started the season with double digit point averages and he has always performed well against Flyers.
