NEWCASTLE EAGLES
The most successful club in BBL history, the Eagles completed a clean sweep of silverware last season. Since 2010, they have played all home games at the 3,000 capacity Sport Central Arena at Northumbria University, after previously playing at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena since 1995.
HEAD COACH
Fabulous Flournoy – A former player in the BBL with Birmingham Bullets, the 6ft 3in shooting guard was a student at NCAA Division 1 College McNeese State University. Flournoy joined the Eagles in 2001, and took on a new role of player/coach during the 2003-04 season.
ONE TO WATCH
Rahmon Fletcher – A college teammate of former Flyers guard Bree Perine, Fletcher was named MVP at the BBL Play-Off final in front of a near 15,000 crowd at the O2 Arena in London. The American averaged 12.6 points and 6.4 assists in 35 appearances for the Eagles last season.
