CHESHIRE PHOENIX
Last season proved to be a landmark one as the club moved into its brand new Cheshire Oaks Arena and while wins were not as forthcoming as the home fans had hoped, they did make a noise on the road. The 2016/17 season signalled the arrival of another new chapter with the club attracting some big signings - including renowned playmaker Josh Wilcher, and ex-Riders forward, Jamell Anderson.
HEAD COACH
Colin O’Reilly - O’reilly previously played for the Nix between 2009 and 2012 before spending a further season at BBL rivals, Plymouth Raiders. Whilst away from the BBL, O'Reilly returned to his home town of Cork and joined UCC Demons in the Irish Basketball Superleague as player-coach, where he won numerous trophies including player and coach of the year.
ONE TO WATCH
Josh Wilcher - A former team-mate of Mike Vigor at Plymouth Raiders, the Australian playmaker is currently averaging 14.8 points and 6.5 assists per game.
OFFICIALS
Taking charge of Sunday’s game will be Gavin Williams, Haydn Jones and Steve Ferris.
