Bristol Flyers welcome back former point guard Cardell McFarland and the Sheffield Sharks to the SGS WISE Arena on Saturday night (7.30pm)

SHEFFIELD SHARKS
An illustrious club with a rich heritage, Sharks are one of the most well-known clubs in British Basketball and even more so after one of the most memorable days in their history last May as they won the BBL Play-Off Final at The 02 in front of 13,000 fans and many more watching on BBC Sport.The Sharks have arguably been the BBL’s most consistent club during their long history [which is now into a third decade], winning the title four times, and collecting seven other pieces of silverware during that period.

HEAD COACH
Atiba Lyons - Joining Sharks as a player in 2006, Lyons made the step up to head coach in 2008. During his tenure, Lyons has won two BBL cups, one BBL Trophy and one BBL Play-Off title as well as two second place finishes in the league.

ONE TO WATCH
Cardell McFarland - A familiar face to Flyers fans, McFarland joined the Sharks in the summer following a successful first year in Bristol. The American point guard made 25 appearances for the Flyers last season, averaging 17.2 points and 4.8 assists per game.


LAST TIME OUT
Bristol Flyers let slip a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter to suffer a 78-70 away defeat to the Sheffield Sharks.
