Bristol Flyers look to bounce back from last week’s loss this Friday against Leicester Riders at the SGS WISE Arena (7.30pm tip-off).

LEICESTER RIDERS
Riders are the oldest team in British basketball having been formed on April 26th 1967. Founder members of the BBL in 1987, Leicester have won the Championship once and the play-offs twice in their history. 2013 was the Riders’ most successful season to date, completing the treble of the Championship, play-offs and BBL Cup, narrowly missing out on the quadruple with a BBL Trophy final loss to Sheffield Sharks. Riders have shown impressive form this season, having virtually guaranteed a play-off position with 11 games of the season remaining, and will face Newcastle Eagles in the final of the BBL Trophy.

COACH
Rob Paternostro – A former player in the BBL with Birmingham Bullets and Leicester Riders via a spell in Belgium with Power Wevelgem. Taking up the Riders’ reins in 2008, Head Coach Paternostro has proved to be the most succesfull coach in Riders history, guiding the team to the treble in 2013. Coach Paternostro is one a select few men to have won the BBL Coach of the Year on more than one occasion – in his first year as coach and in 2013. 

STAR MAN
Rashad Hassan – One of the front runners for league MVP this season, the 6’8” American is second in the league for two-point field goal percentage and in the top five for average points per game with 17.6. Versatile forward Hassan joined Riders in 2013 and has proved to be driving force for the team during his time in Leicester so far.

OFFICIALS
Taking charge of Friday’s game will be Darren Bolt, Haydn Jones and Gavin Lewis.
