GLASGOW ROCKS
Rocks had an incredible start to the 2016/17 season, winning 12 games in a row early on, the Scottish side currently sit 3rd in the BBL table. Originally established as the Edinburgh Rocks in 1998, the team rebranded as the Scottish Rocks in 2002 following a move 45 miles west to Glasgow. The club once again renamed to become the Glasgow Rocks in 2009 following a new long-term agreement with Glasgow City Council. The team moved into their current home at The Emirates Arena in 2012, where games are played in both the Main Arena and the smaller Sports Hall.
HEAD COACH
Sterling Davis – After retiring from his playing career in the summer, Davis now focuses on coaching duties and moulding together a new-look side. Sterling had spells with a number of BBL clubs during his playing career, including Sheffield Sharks (2004–2006), London Towers (2003) and Brighton Bears (2001–2003). He scored a career-high 42 points on March 1st 2011 in a game against the Guildford Heat.
LAST TIME OUT
Flyers fell to a fifth-straight defeat in the BBL, as Rocks claimed an 84-61 win at the Emirates Arena.
ONE TO WATCH
Neil Watson – Watson joined the Rocks following a two-year stint with the Leicester Riders, where he was rated among the best in the league for his position. In his debut season he led the BBL in terms of assists, averaging an impressive 7.9 per game. The American guard is averaging 4.29 assists and 18 points per game in the BBL this season.
