The 6ft1in in guard joined the club mid way through last season, having previous experience in NBL division one with Reading Rockets and Solent Kestrels.
The 23-year-old, was also a product of the Loughborough University basketball programme.
"I'm really happy to be back for another season with the Flyers,” Nicholls told bristolflyers.co.uk.
"The club welcomed me really well late last year and I can't wait to get on the court with the guys and start pre-season training.
“I've been speaking with Coach Kapoulas a lot this summer and I know exactly what is expected of me.
“I've learnt a lot from him so far and he's really helped excel my game - I can't wait to keep learning from him this year.
“I’m really excited to see the fans and the game day staff again - they all make Flyers feel like home to me.”
