Mockford and Okereafor put GB on the brink of EuroBasket qualification

Teddy Okereafor and Ben Mockford combined for 14 points and six assists as Great Britain secured a 83-81 win over Germany in Saturday afternoon’s FIBA EuroBasket 2022 qualifier.

BOX SCORE
The Flyers duo were both named in Marc Steutel's starting line-up, which was assisted by Andreas Kapoulas -  with Okereafor featuring in 12 minutes of action, finishing with six points on a perfect 2/2 from downtown.

Meanwhile, Mockford posted eight points and five assists on 60% shooting from the field.

Great Britain are now on the brink of securing their place at EuroBasket 2022, thanks to a last gasp lay-up from Luke Nelson in the game’s dying seconds.

The team now awaits the outcome of this evening’s game between France and Montenegro, with GB set to qualify if France come out on top.
