McCloud set for reunion with familiar face

Jalan McCloud says he is excited to match up against his former ETSU team-mate Devontavious Payne, when Bristol Flyers host Plymouth Raiders on Friday night (7.30pm tip-off).

Payne, who played a full season with McCloud at East Tennessee State, put pen to paper on a professional contract with the Raiders last week and is expected to make his BBL debut in Friday’s sold out clash at the SGS College Arena.

“We built a very strong relationship - that was one of the teammates I was with every day,” McCloud told Bristol Flyers TV.

“We have a bond that cant be broken, but of course when we step on the floor on opposite teams it will be like a big rivalry.

“I’ve been talking to him every day since he's been out here. We play video games and talk about going to visit each other - he's like a brother to me.

“We are both competitors, so it will be very fun it will be good to share the court with him again once again."

Friday’s south west derby will be available to watch on LIVE online via LiveBasketball.TV (7.30pm BST).
