McCloud calls on fan power

Jalan McCloud hopes the fans can help propel Bristol Flyers back to winning ways against Sheffield Sharks this weekend.

The American point guard made his BBL debut last weekend, scoring a team-high 20 points in front of a sellout crowd at the SGS College Arena.

And McCloud says the home support can play a huge part in boosting the Flyers to their first league win of the 2018/19 season.

"The fans are a big deal. They're like adding fuel to a fire,” he told Bristol Flyers TV.

"They keep us motivated and we look forward to that every time we play.Β

β€œI've adjusted really well to life in Bristol and everybody seems to be having fun.

"Right now its all about keeping our composure, taking the right shots and not getting frustrated when shots don't go in. That's what we've been working on this week in practice and it seems like we've executed that.
"It always feels good to knock down shots play well, but in reality you just want to win. If you can do that and win at the same time its a better feeling, so that's what we are going to try to do this Saturday.

"I assume they’ve watched tape on our last game, so I wouldn't be surprised if they throw a little bit of a zone defence against us, but we should be more than prepared for that."

Flyers return to BBL Championship action when Sheffield Sharks visit the WISE Campus on Saturday, September 29th (7.30pm tip-off).
