Mayindombe extends stay with Bristol Flyers

Panos Mayindombe has extended his stay with Bristol Flyers for the 2020/21 season.

The 32-year-old greek guard enters his fourth year with the club, after joining from Durham Wildcats in 2017.

Mayindombe made nine league appearances for the Flyers last season and played a key role in helping the club reach its first ever BBL Cup Final in January.

Speaking to Bristol Flyers TV, Mayindombe said: “It’s a nice feeling to be back in Bristol with the team.

"It’s been a long time since March, so I’m grateful to be back on the court and everyone’s looking forward to that first game.

"Coach Kapoulas wants me to bring some experience to the team this year and do whatever the team needs me to do to be successful.”
Flyers Head Coach Andreas Kapoulas said: “Panos has been one of the most hard-working players in our programme over the last three years.

“He brings the energy every day and has become a real fan favourite amongst our supporters. He plays the game with heart and passion and he'll do anything for the team to be successful.

“We are pleased to see him return for his fourth season with the club."
