Great Britain kicked off their 2015 FIBA European Under-20 Championship campaign with a 57-59 overtime defeat to defending champions Turkey on Tuesday.
SGS Academy products Deane Williams and Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye were crucial off the bench, with Williams scoring six points in a 10-0 run late in the third quarter, whilst Lautier-Ogunleye finished with a team-high 14 points.
"The difference was the first half, when we went down by 13,” Lautier-Ogunleye explained to gbbasketball.com.
"We can't allow teams to get those big leads, but we can definitely take away positives. We showed we can compete with any team in the tournament.”
"We were playing the reigning champions in our first game. We need to get over this defeat quickly, and be ready to get a win tomorrow."
