WHAT HAPPENED

With Friday’s loss firmly in the back of their mind, Coach Kapoulas’ side began the game with an explosive 15-0 run in the first four minutes, with Thomas-Edwards scoring six points in a row.

The lead ballooned to as many as 20 points in the second, before Skylar White capped off a 14-0 spell with back-to-back triples to make it 30-38 at the half.
Daniel Edozie had a contender for play of the season when he fought through contact to dunk over two Scorchers players, as Flyers rebuilt their double digit lead in the third to lead by 11 heading into the last 10 minutes.

But the gap was cut down to just four points to set up a tense finish, before a clutch three-pointer from Lewis Champion and a pair of made free throws from Edozie sealed the wire-to-wire win

The result sees Flyers improve to our 5-3 in the Southern Conference of the BBL Cup, with a pair of games against London Lions and London City Royals to play.
