Kapoulas hails ‘deserved’ testimonial for Greg Streete

Andreas Kapoulas was full of praise to Greg Streete's contribution to Bristol Flyers as he brought his playing career to a close on Saturday night.

The Flyers head coach made a heartwarming tribute to Streete on centre court during half-time of the testimonial, before presenting him with a framed jersey and canvas to mark his incredible 12-year service to the club.

"It been a very emotional day, but a great way to say farewell to a Bristol basketball legend,” he told Bristol Flyers TV.

"He helped our team from the lowest division of national league all the way to the BBL and he’s a class act and it was great to be able to do something like this to honour him.

“It has been a privilege to be around Greg for all of these year,s and his speech today just showed what type of person he is.

"It’s not just basketball side, he’s a great player, but he’s also a great person, a great father and a role model. He's a true ambassador of Flyers basketball.

"We want to find more Greg Streetes, but the fact of the mater is that he is one of a kind."
