Bristol Flyers take on Worcester Wolves in their first ever BBL Cup FInal on Sunday afternoon (3.30pm tip-off).
Matt Newby - Formerly the Director of Basketball at Leeds Beckett University and head coach at Leeds Force. Newby was given another shot in the BBL over the summer with the Wolves. With a new-look roster and a British core at his disposal, Newby will be looking to bring Worcester their first BBL Cup crown following the club’s disappointing campaign last season.
#10 Cortez Edwards - Edwards finished with a near triple-double against the Flyers when the two teams last met, finishing with 35 points nine rebounds and nine assists. The American guard joined the Wolves in the summer following his senior year with Southern Miss, where he averaged 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals.
“Worcester are a very well-coached team and we will have to produce a solid performance on both ends of the court.
“Everyones excited for it and we want to do everything in our power to bring the cup back to Bristol."
