HEAD COACH

Matt Newby - Formerly the Director of Basketball at Leeds Beckett University and head coach at Leeds Force. Newby was given another shot in the BBL over the summer with the Wolves. With a new-look roster and a British core at his disposal, Newby will be looking to bring the club more success following Worcester’s disappointing campaign last season.

LAST TIME OUT

Bristol Flyers fell victim to a second half fightback from Worcester Wolves, going down 94-96 after five minutes of overtime at the SGS College Arena.

Lewis Champion ended with a BBL career-high 20 points to go along with five assists, but it just wasn’t enough to overcome the Wolves, who landed 60% of their shots from behind the three point line.

BOX SCORE

ONE TO WATCH

#10 Cortez Edwards - Edwards finished with a near triple-double against the Flyers when the two teams last met, finishing with 35 points nine rebounds and nine assists. The American guard joined the Wolves in the summer following his senior year with Southern Miss, where he averaged 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals.

WHAT THEY SAY

"We’re trying to have a big presence on the defensive end and we want to make sure we’re attacking the glass every chance we get.”

Levi Bradley
