Bristol Flyers return to BBL Cup action when they host group leaders London City Royals in front of a sold out crowd at the SGS College Arena.
Everything you need to know on Friday night’s opponents can be found below.
Lloyd Gardner took over the reigns of London City Royals this summer following the departure of Junior Williams. Gardner was previously the Director of Basketball Operations at Barking Abbey, where he helped over 100 students move onto scholarships in the USA and into professional basketball careers.
The former junior international has become one of the most well-respected coaches in the country and was named BBL Coach of the Month during his first month in charge.
The Flyers were unable to capitalise from a strong start and a crucial 17-0 run in the second period allowed the hosts pull away and never look back.
"Andrew Lawrence is a very good player who can score the ball and create for others - he’s a tough matchup for our team.
"We just need to make it difficult for him and not give him any rhythm shots - which is easier said than done.”
