It’s a second meeting in as many weeks for two sides currently outside of the top eight. Surrey ended their long wait for a win on the road as they denied the Flyers a double-winning weekend, with Flyers at home for the last time in March ahead of a three-game road trip.
Creon Raftopolous - Having led up the Scorchers franchise under it’s previous names Guildford Heat and Surrey Heat, Raftopolous achieved a top-four finish with the team in 2012/13 and reached the BBL Trophy final in 2011, before being dismissed ahead of a takeover which saw the club’s name changed to Surrey United. Reforming under the Scorchers name in 2015, Raftopolous was reinstated as head coach following the takeover from Surrey Sports Park.
#15 Tayo Ogedengbe - Tayo finished with 33 points in last week’s meeting at the WISE Campus, scoring 18 points in the first quarter alone. The Scorchers’ captain averages 17 and four rebounds per game.
Bristol Flyers narrowly missed out to the visiting Surrey Scorchers last weekend, 83-89.
