After retaining the core of their second-place squad from last season, the Lions added American duo Ladarius Tabb and Kervin Bristol over the summer, along with British guard Jordan Spencer, who makes his long-awaited comeback after excelling in the States at Augustana University. The 2019 BBL Cup winners enter Friday’s game at the top of the BBL Championship with a record of 21-4 on the season.
Vince Macaulay - A former player for Brixton Topcats, London Towers and Hemel Royals, Macaulay acquired the franchise in 1998 and relocated it to Milton Keynes. Macaulay then moved the club to London for the 2012/13 season and has seen his side transform into BBL Championship contenders, with high hopes of seeing the team compete on the European stage in the near future.
#10 Justin Robinson - After an impressive six year basketball career across Europe, which included playing for GB at Eurobasket 2013, London Lions Head Coach Vince Macaulay persuaded the point guard to return home and play for Lions in the summer of 2017. Robinson was named BBL league MVP last season, averaging an impressive 17.8 points and 5.6 assists per game.
Bristol Flyers fell to a rampant London Lions at the Copperbox Arena, 84-55.
