The newcomers to the league have not just made up the numbers this season, after winning the BBL Trophy back in March. Former GB internationals Ashley Hamilton and Matthew Bryan-Amaning bring the star status, whilst back-to-back BBL Cup winner Orlan Jackman made the switch from Cheshire over the summer.
London City will play a big role in the race for the BBL Play-Offs, as they face both the Flyers and Cheshire Phoenix this weekend.
Jay Williams - A former England and Great Britain point guard, Jay Williams was announced as the first head coach of London City Royals back in July. Williams played for London Towers, London United, Glasgow Rocks and Milton Keynes during his eight-year playing career in the BBL and has also worked as an assistant coach with the London Lions.
#11 Matthew Bryan-Amaning - A former college team-mate of NBA stars Isaiah Thomas, Justin Holiday and Terrence Ross at the University of Washington, Bryan-Amaning has enjoyed a successful professional career to date, having won multiple Championship titles in Mexico, Argentina, Japan and most recently the BBL Trophy with the London City Royals.
Flyers need to win BOTH games this weekend AND require either Plymouth Raiders OR Cheshire Phoenix on Sunday to make the BBL play-offs.
TEAM | P | PTS | |
