Bristol Flyers can confirm Mike Vigor has suffered an ankle injury and is expected to be out of action for two to six weeks.
Vigor landed awkwardly in practice this week and was quickly assessed by the club’s therapist Craig Barden, where it was concluded that he would need to miss the next few weeks to allow him to fully recover before stepping back on the court.
The Scottish international has made seven appearances since re-joining the Flyers in December, averaging six points and four rebounds per game.
“Mike hurt his ankle in practice on Thursday and we took him for an X-Ray which has come back inconclusive, so we’re not sure on the exact extent of the injury,” Barden told bristolflyers.co.uk.
"He’ll be in a boot for two weeks and then we’ll review him again and hopefully get a better idea as to the severity of his injury."
Vigor is set to miss tonight’s game against the Leicester Riders and will be re-assessed after the international break.
