I expect big things this year - Thomas

Fred Thomas is looking to take Bristol Flyers one step further than last season’s play-off semi-final appearance.

The 25-year-old forward arrived in Bristol last week, after leading Kongsberg Miners to the Norweigan play-off title, whilst also being named the league’s defensive player of the year.

"I have the same mindset as last year,” Thomas told Bristol Flyers TV.

"It feels really great to finally be here. I am experienced player coming into the team and I expect a lot this year.

"I want the club to do better than last year and make the BBL play-off final.

"When I received the call from Coach K, something just stuck out about him which showed that he was really interested in a player like me.

"He made me feel loved and after that I felt like I needed to be a part of the organisation.

"My first impressions of Bristol are good, I am looking forward to experiencing the culture and meeting the people throughout the city."
