Bristol Flyers officially confirmed their place in the BBL Playoffs as they edged out Newcastle Eagles 84-81 in a nail-biting encounter.
Marcus Evans finished with an impressive double-double performance of 19 points and 10 rebounds, whilst Trejon had 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench.
WHAT HAPPENED
Flyers got off to the better start in the opening exchanges, taking a narrow 29- 26 lead into the second quarter
Eagles responded well in the second to score 23 points to open up a lead of their own. The away side led 49-44 at the half-time break.
The game continued to be a close-fought encounter in the second half. Bristol Flyers edged the third quarter 21-18 to reduce Eagles lead to two and set up another tense finale.
Flyers confirmed their fourth win in seven days with a solid defensive display in the fourth. The home side had Zach Simmons to thank after his game-winning block at the death cemented the result.
