Flyers To Start Season At Home To South West Rivals

Bristol Flyers will start their 2016/17 BBL Championship campaign at home to south west rivals Plymouth Raiders.

The release of the fixtures sees Flyers host the Raiders, at the SGS WISE Arena, on Saturday, September 24th (7.30pm).

The last time Flyers met the Raiders on opening night it was Bristol that came out on top 65-56 in front of a sellout crowd at the WISE Arena in their BBL debut.

The two other games against fellow south west rivals Plymouth Raiders are due to take place on Friday, January 20th at the SGS WISE Arena and on Friday, 24th March at the Plymouth Pavillions.

Other key dates include the visit of former NBL Division One rivals Leeds Force on Friday, December 9th and Saturday, April 1st.

The first game of 2017 sees Flyers host Manchester Giants on Saturday, January 7th, with an away trip to Reading Rockets no less than 24 hours later in the first round of the BBL Trophy.

Flyers will face Surrey Scorchers at home in the first round of the BBL Cup on Saturday, October 1st, with a trip to Worcester Wolves awaiting the winner in the quarter-finals.
