The draws for the 2018/19 BBL Cup and BBL Trophy competitions will take place LIVE on the BBL Facebook page on Wednesday, August 1st 2018.
BBL commentator Dan Routledge will host the first round draws alongside Sheffield Sharks’ captain Mike Tuck and Andy Thomson of the Leicester Riders. The draw will also include the quarter-finals of the BBL Cup.
3pm – BBL Cup First Round & Quarter-Finals
3:30pm – BBL Trophy First Round
There will be four non-BBL teams competing in the BBL Trophy:
- Team Basketball Wales
- Team Solent Kestrels
- Worthing Thunder
- St Mirren West College
First round - Friday, October 26th - Sunday, October 28th.
As with last season, the top four teams from the 2017/18 BBL Championship campaign will receive a bye to the quarter-finals. The eight remaining teams will take part in the first round.
Quarter-Finals - Friday, November 16th - Sunday November 18th.
The four winners from the first round will join the top four teams from last season in an open draw which will also be conducted on Wednesday, August 1st.
Semi-finals - Friday December 7th - Sunday, December 9th – played over two legs
BBL Cup Final - Sunday, January 27th 2019 @ Arena Birmingham
First round - Friday, December 21st - Sunday, December 23rd.
Four non-BBL teams will join the 12 BBL teams in the first round. The draw will follow a bracket format, so the path to the final will be revealed from Wednesday’s draw.
Quarter-final - Friday, January 11th - Sunday, January 13th 2019.
Semi-Final - Friday, February 8th - Sunday, February 10th 2019 – played over two legs
BBL Trophy Final - Sunday March 10th 2019 @ Emirates Arena.
