Flyers stars set for October holiday camps

A contingent of Bristol Flyers stars will attend the club’s ever popular holiday camps during the October half term, helping children to develop their basketball skills and inspire the next generation.

First team players Justin Gray, Fred Thomas, Marcus Delpeche, Tevin Falzon, Jalan McCloud, Lewis Champion and captain, Daniel Edozie will each be attending camps on different days to meet and greet young Flyers fans. 

Delivered at Abbeywood Community School, right next door to Flyers’ home ground of SGS College Arena, the club is holding a three-day camp for children of all abilities aged 8-14-years-old.

Flyers community coaches and professional players will take youngsters through a range of techniques, before they compete in small-sided games.

Bristol Flyers October half-term camps

Dates: Tuesday 30th October, Wednesday 31st October and Thursday, 1st November
Time: 9am - 3pm
Location: Abbeywood Community School, New Road, Stoke Gifford, Bristol BS34 8SF
Cost: £20 per child per day

Suitable for all boys and girls aged 8-14 years.

Bristol Flyers Community Development Officer, Claire Buckingham, said: “It is fantastic to have a number of the players down to support our holiday camps as they add something really special to the day and give children the chance to learn from some of the best in the BBL.

"Alongside our team of basketball coaches, who will make it a safe and enjoyable environment for children to develop their skills, we are expecting another fantastic turn out.”
