Great Britain made it two wins from two in the U20 European Championship classification round, with a comfortable 77-51 victory over Bulgaria on Tuesday.
Bristol Flyers’ forwards Tamas Okros and Deane Williams both put in impressive performances off the bench, finishing with five and six points respectively.
The result keeps GB’s hopes of remaining in the top-flight alive, improving their chances of a 13th place finish, and competing in Division-A again next summer.
“We defended very well,” said head coach Douglas Leichner.
“We held Bulgaria to 11 percent shooting from three-point range and just 28 percent from the field. We really focussed on stopping their talented perimeter.”

GB finish their Group G campaign against Russia on Wednesday (15:30 BST), and providing they finish in the top two, they will then compete in the 13th-16th Play-Offs knowing that two wins would guarantee their Division A status.
