Flyers land Lockett for remainder of the season

Bristol Flyers have completed the signing of American shooting guard Eric Lockett out of North Carolina State University.

The 6ft5in wing joins the Flyers for the remainder of the 2019/20 season and signs from Al-Rayyan Sports Club in Qatar.

Lockett averaged 7.9 points per game during his five-year college career, enjoying spells with George Mason, Chipola and Florida International before transferring to NC State for his senior year.

He posted a career-high 14.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a Sophomore at FIU, shooting 46.6% from the field. 

Lockett flew into Bristol this week and goes straight into Coach Kapoulas’ squad for this weekend’s doubleheader against Worcester Wolves and Manchester Giants.

"We are very pleased to add Eric to our roster and see him in his BBL debut this weekend,” said Flyers head coach Andreas Kapoulas.

"He will add depth to our team and make an impact on both ends of the court as we enter the most important part of the season with 12 games left to secure a spot in the play-offs.”
