Flyers announce return of club presentation and Matthew Bromley game

The annual Bristol Flyers end of season club presentation will return on Saturday, May 28th at 2pm.

The event, which takes place at Abbeywood School, offers players, staff and volunteers the opportunity to celebrate the 2021/22 regular season, with a range of awards being handed out across the club’s junior and senior age groups.

The end of season presentation will be followed by the Matthew Bromley All-Star Memorial games at the SGS College Arena, which return after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The Bromley games will begin with the Under-14 ’stars of the future’ game at 4pm, followed by the Under-16 'young guns' game and conclude with the Bromley ‘All-Star’ game.

The Matthew Bromley games feature Flyers players, staff and volunteers from past and present, and are played each year in memory of former player Matt Bromley, who was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 23. Matt made a significant contribution to basketball in Bristol and Trowbridge and is greatly missed.

Entry to the Matthew Bromley memorial games will be via donation, with all funds raised being donated to the Matthew Bromley Foundation, which is set up to support young talented athletes with their basketball aspirations.

Running order

2pm - End of season club presentation
4pm - Under-14 Stars of the Future game
Approx 4.45pm - Under-16 Young Guns Game
Approx 5.15pm - The All Star Memorial game
