Finley Woodward named in Scotland U16 training squad

Bristol Flyers Under-16 star Finley Woodward has been named in the initial squad for the Scotland U16 national team.

Head Coach Darryl Wood has named his 18-man training squad, as Scotland U16’s prepare for this summer’s European Championships. The players will be hoping to impress Wood and his team over the next few months for final selection.

“I’m absolutely delighted for Finley to have been selected to represent Scotland," said Flyers Under-16 head coach Ieuan Alex Jones.

"Finley has worked extremely hard to improve and maximise his talent and this selection is a testament to the work he has put in. He's a great young man who will represent Scotland well.”

The squad will continue to build up their training schedule, as preparations continue for July’s tournament held in Tirana, Albania from July 14-21st. Scotland have been drawn into Group B alongside Albania, Luxembourg, San Marino and Moldova.
