Daniel Edozie has signed a one-year extension with the Bristol Flyers.
The British forward, who signed his first professional contract last year with the club, has now committed until the end of the 2016/17 season.
The 23-year-old led the league in rebounds last year, averaging 10.9 per game, whilst also having 12 double-doubles in 33 appearances for the club.
“I really got attached to Bristol last season,” Edozie told bristolflyers.co.uk.
“It feels really good to be in a situation that I’m familiar with and I’m very excited to see the new players that are going to be here.”
London-born Edozie joined the Flyers in August 2015, having previously played NCAA Division One college basketball at Iowa State University.
“Playing in the BBL last year was all about finding my rhythm in a new league after college,” said Edozie.
“I got a lot of playing experience last season and now its time to come back even stronger in my second year.”
“We’re going to have fun this season - I’m going to make sure of it.”
Edozie will link up with the squad for pre-season training in August, as Flyers begin their preparations for the 2016/17 campaign.
“Daniel was a key contributor to our team last season and it’s great to see him return for another year,” said head coach Kapoulas.
"He brings physicality, athleticism and aggressive play to our roster as well as his NCAA Division One experience with one of the best US college programmes, Iowa Sate.
“At just 23 years old, Daniel has the potential to continue developing here in Bristol, becoming an integral part of the squad for years to come.”
Edozie becomes the seventh player to commit to Bristol Flyers for the 2016/17 season alongside Greg Streete, Roy Owen, Jordan Ranklin, Chris Bourne, Michael Vigor and Leslee Smith.
