'Injuries Proving Costly For Flyers'

Flyers are coming off the back of two losses to face Plymouth Raiders in a must win home game at SGS WISE arena.
Injury and subsequent recovering fitness levels almost certainly having a negative effect on intensity in practices, it's been a tough fortnight for coach Kapoulas who saw his team out-muscled down the stretch against Worcester Wolves and lose forth quarter scoring momentum in a more promising performance on the road at Surrey Scorchers.
Fresh Outlook At Raiders
Corletto Turning Things Around |
Having failed to win a single game prior to his appointment, Raiders have since won three of their seven games following Dayrl Corletto's appointment as player coach. |
Plymouth Raiders have ridden the storm of internal restructure and turmoil to emerge as a burgeoning force with Australian player coach Dayrl Corletto at the helm. Recently beating both Worcester Wolves and Cheshire Phoenix they find themselves sitting one place above Flyers in the BBL league table.
In order to keep a 100% winning record against their South West rivals, Flyers will need to emulate the home win over Manchester Giants. Looking after the ball and getting good shots from consistent ball movement is paramount.
Three-Point Flyers |
Bristol Flyers are currently averaging 8.75 successful three point shots per game, second only to Leicester Riders in the BBL so far this season. |
Flyers are a good three point shooting team if they manufacture open balanced shots from their offence. I'd like to see them attack the basket with more confidence.
Injection Of Confidence Needed
Plymouth are likely to start the game with active defence believing that they can force Flyers into turnovers and bad shots. It's the responsibility of Greg Streete, Tyrone Lee, Mathias Seilund and Cardell Mcfarland to use their ability to attack the hoop and help Flyers control the tempo.
Coach Kapoulas will be expecting passion and controlled energy from his team on Friday night. Everyone at the SGS Wise arena needs to get behind the Flyers and do their bit to secure that all important home win.
Bristol Flyers take on Plymouth Raiders this Friday, December 12th at 7.30pm - buy tickets online here.
