Bristol Flyers Gameday Supporter Guide

After a season behind closed doors, Bristol Flyers is delighted to welcome you back to the SGS College Arena for the 2021/22 season.

As previously communicated, Flyers will operate a phased return to full capacity with some restrictions in place to start the season.

We are therefore asking all fans to read and follow the Supporter Guide ahead of attending a game.

Attendance and arrival:

COVID-19 passes or vaccination proof will not be required to enter our gamedays. However, the club encourages fans to endeavour to receive both vaccination doses before attending an event

If you feel unwell or are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms you should self-isolate immediately and get a PCR test, even if the symptoms are mild

  • We encourage ticket holders to carry out a lateral flow test within 24 hours of attending a game and to not attend if you receive a positive result. Test kits are free and available from the NHS or your local pharmacy. To find out more information visit nhs.uk
  • Our venue will continue to display NHS QR codes at reception which can be scanned using the COVID-19 Test and Trace app upon arrival and we encourage fans to do so.
  • We ask fans to ensure you keep your ticket on your person at all times as for many fans this will be your only proof of purchase on the night.
  • Please ensure that if queuing, you allow sufficient spacing and avoid crowding in the reception area, waiting outside until congestion eases if required.

Inside the venue:

  • Unless medically or otherwise exempt, we encourage supporters to continue wearing face coverings when within and transiting around the court areas. We are also asking fans not to bring or use any horns or similar items to reduce Covid-19 transmission risk.
  • Please only sit within your allocated area of the venue. If you have unreserved tickets, please sit only within the lettered area that you have booked as this will help socially distance spectators in our busiest seating area. These areas will be clearly signposted on the night and the gameday team will be able to assist with any confusion.
  • The courtside seating areas will be located on the opposite side of the court to the teams and will be staggered to help with spacing so please do not alter this layout without permission from a member of the gameday team.
  • To alleviate crowding, please do not join large queues at the bar, store or concession area, instead waiting until these queues ease before joining.
  • A reminder that the club will temporarily not be operating certain gameday activities within this period, including: chuck-a-duck, meet-the-team, on-court activities and birthday parties/mascot experiences.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available at the points across the venue and within toilets so please sanitise where possible. We also encourage spectators to wash their hands for 20 seconds or more when using the toilet facilities.
  • Do not enter the playing court area, or surrounding areas, under any circumstances as this is a player and team staff only area within this period, under British Basketball League Secure Play guidelines.
  • To reduce congestion, we ask that only one member of each attending group visit concessions at any one time and order/purchase on behalf of your group where possible.
  • We encourage supporters to collect their litter and deposit it in the bins/recycling on the way out. Leaving behind items which have been handled by multiple people will put our gameday staff at unnecessary risk. We will have extra bins in use on gamedays and the general waste and recycling bins will be labelled accordingly.
  • Please exit the venue swiftly following the game and avoid gathering within either the venue or reception area as there will be no meet-the-team and/or post-game activities. We will look to stagger this process to further enable us to reduce congestion.

General:

We ask all fans to review this information and share with all attendees in your party ahead of time. This code of conduct and the restrictions in place will be regularly reviewed and any and all changes will be communicated to fans via the club website.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and for helping us ensure our return of fans to the SGS College Arena is as safe as possible.
