Bristol Flyers have discovered their opponents in the double elimination round of the 2018 British Basketball All-Stars Championship.
Coach K’s men will take on Surrey Scorchers in the opening game, before facing either Worcester Wolves or London Lions in the second game of the group stage.
The first round of the tournament is a double elimination group stage comprising a total of ten games, with the subsequent six fixtures determined by the outcome of the first four. Two straight wins will qualify a team for the semi-finals while two straight defeats will spell elimination. The final set of games in the group will feature teams with one win and one defeat competing to stay in the competition.
Worcester Wolves v London Lions
Bristol Flyers v Surrey Scorchers
Glasgow Rocks v Newcastle Eagles`
Sheffield Sharks v Leicester Riders
The All-Stars Championship made its debut last year, with Bristol Flyers advancing all the way to the semi-final stage in front of a packed crowd at the O2 Arena.
The competition features a unique take on the rules as the top eight BBL teams from last season compete for a record-breaking £100,000 prize fund.
Games are just 12 minutes long, with an added All-Star five-point line offering rewards for those willing to brave a shot from distance. Teams also have a two-minute golden buzzer Power Play at their disposal, during which any points scored are doubled.
The 2018 British Basketball All-Stars Championship will be LIVE on Sky Sports Arena and Sky Sports Mix this Sunday (October 14th) from 1-6pm.
