Bristol Flyers ended a run of four straight defeats with an impressive 72-67 victory over Manchester Giants at the SGS WISE Arena.
Flyers started the game strongly, racing into a 14-8 lead midway through the first quarter thanks to a stunning Greg Streete three.
Forward Doug McLaughlin-Williams came on to huge cheers in the opening quarter for his first appearance in two weeks following an injury lay-off.
Spurred on by this, the home side held on to their early lead until midway through the third quarter, before a 10-2 run saw Giants retake the lead with a three-pointer by Ben Eaves. Giants swingman Ingus Bankevics then knocked down a long-range shot to make it 54-50.
A final push from Andreas Kapoulas' men in the fourth sealed the victory 72-67, with Alif Bland named player of the game scoring a huge double-double of 20 points and 17 rebounds.
The result leaves Coach K's side just inside the play-off places after 16 games in their debut season in the BBL.
Flyers return to action next Friday as they take on Glasgow Rocks in the first leg of their BBL Cup semi-final at the SGS WISE Arena - click here to buy tickets.
